Electroless Nickel Plating

Electroless Nickel Plating (ENP) is a specialized surface treatment process that deposits a uniform layer of nickel-phosphorus or nickel-boron alloy onto a metal or plastic surface without the use of an external electrical current. Unlike traditional electroplating, ENP uses an autocatalytic chemical reaction, allowing for consistent coating thickness even on complex geometries and recessed areas. This technique offers excellent corrosion and wear resistance, enhanced hardness, and low friction properties, making it ideal for demanding applications in industries such as aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, and electronics. Depending on the phosphorus content, ENP can be tailored for specific performance characteristics, including increased corrosion resistance or greater surface hardness.
